Albrecht Kind founded his trading company in the town of Huntig near Cologne more than 150 years ago. He began his career by selling Belgian weapons made by the company Dewande, Pere & Fils.
AKAH has re-achieved its status as one of the leading suppliers in the field of shooting and hunting products for both private and professional use.
Although the largest portion of their business involves the trade of goods with well-known manufacturers, AKAH still manufactures their own leather, which the founders established in Germany is 1865.
With strong ties to old traditions, AKAH is constantly seeking new challenges. They continue to refine both the natural leather materials and the knowledge necessary for its processing, and to use them to manufacture modern products.
AKAH purchases Bison leather for some of its production, which follows a long-standing leather tanning process with prairie grass and tree bark.
In order to expand their production capacity, new production facilities were built in Europe.
AKAH has now begun to manufacture selected high-quality products made from the finest materials such as Cordura™ or fine Loden cloth in Hungary.
As with many family businesses, AKAH positions itself with the principles of environmental sustainability and the promotion of fair trading conditions for their growth and product development, thereby ensuring lasting success for generations to come.
